Patricia is in favor of a state-run lottery and taxing gambling/gaming for education.

Patricia also agrees with a community service/college education trade-off in which a person would receive four years of college for four years of community service.

In addition, Patricia believes that FAFSA or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid should be reformed. Under her plan, FAFSA would be as easy as filling out a check mark on a person's tax form.

Patricia believes that students should have the choice of filing either independent or dependent on their FAFSA. If a student does not receive assistance from their parents' income, then the student should be allowed to file as an independent student. If the student files independent on their tax forms, then so should they be independent on their FAFSA, regardless of age.
